The hardness of the material helps support valve guide longevity. Guides can be easily reamed with a power or battery drill and finished with a ball bore. Eliminates the need for expensive honing equipment that would be required for nickel bronze replacement valve guides. Machined to accept OEM and aftermarket seals. Great choice for the home builder.
